The Basics of Web Analytics - Start Here
I was showing a prospective client one of my reports that I create in Excel so that I can compare different streams of data that come from analytics and server logs. The client was nodding but not understanding what he was looking at.
Then we got to the charts, and he said, "Yeah, those charts would be great to have!" I said, "You can't get the charts without the data that feeds them. The charts simply are a comparison of 2 or more data points."
This is a very basic article about analytics in iMedia Connection but it gets to the heart of what many marketers experience: I have all this data...but what is it?
